yesterday was the bomb.

did a lil of this.
got a lil burnt.
a lil caught in a whirl pool
and a lil scraped up from the whirl pool...
but i had the best time.
family fun is the bestest way to spend a sunday.
get on it.

this morning:


my coffee is superb.
my neighborhood is quiet.
the breeze is cool
and the work doesn't beckon
until 2.
that gives me plenty of time to:
do some domestic godess work
as well as a page or two in my
long neglected art journal.

i'm on it.

sunday after mass the bff and i took
our wee ones downtown to explore.
being on the riverwalk always reminds me
of how much i'd LOVE to live downtown.
the little cafes and the side streets with the
amazing architecture are my favorite.
we ate at a restaurant on the river
(how crazy that i had never done that before!!)
and took lots of pics.

eclipse.
i finished book one in a hurry.
and basically devoured book two last week.
i tried to pick eclipse up at wal mart today
but they were out.

i find myself afraid to begin book three.
because book four is just about to come out...
i have a feeling i will neglect many chores when i purchase
said book.
also, though, i am always sad when i finish a series.
because i miss the characters when i'm done.

yeah, i'm a freak.
i know.

creating my own happy.

thats what i am doing.
i've decided to string some cute little lanterns between
the trees in my backyard.
i've decided to clean off my patio set
AND use it.
ive decided that hitting the mark SOMEtimes
is better than never hitting it at all.

today i am hopeful and happy
and ready for the day.

some one once told me not to sweat the small stuff.

so.
no wood floors.

and there won't be any, either.

the landlord fired two contractors
inside of a week.
and now he is losing money
by staying in town so long.
(he lives in LA and is leaving soon)
thus, no wood floors.
but.
wednesday we get carpet.
(i am so glad the first contractor
ripped out all of the downstairs carpet
before he was fired!!
otherwise who knows what we'd be stuck with!!)

while i am perturbed he has inconvenienced us
for so long, and with practically nothing to show for it,
i am aware that things could be worse.

i will finally get my house back.
be rid of the damned landlord
and possibly be able
figure out a routine.

because-
surprise surprise,
i still haven't figured out
how to fit in a 40 hr week
and *still* be a proper
mother, wife, friend.
its been almost two months.
how long does it take?
::sigh::

but it's all small stuff, right?

guten morgen.

so we've been reading more
since the tv is unplugged.



well, i haven't read as much
as i would like to have...
this book is good!!
i bought book two and
i am only half way through the first.

i want to finish it before i get
inundated with previews for the movie!!
i dont even want to know who plays bella
or edward...
i have my own ideas of what they look like
and i will only be upset if the actors don't
live up to my standards.
