my war paint is sharpie ink.

lol (365) most of the time my titles
are random lyrics that resonate with me.
they often say something in the song
that makes me want to burst
because i feel like the writer *knew*
what i *feel*.

starfish and coffee is a prince song...
freakin love it- another part of the song
says: "if you set your mind free baby,
then maybe you'll understand..."
the song is beautiful, i want to be
the girl with the "smile under her nose".
always.
on that note
i want to share something with you guys.
a few of my art journal pages.
like i said. it's a no pressure thing.
and now you know that i love lyrics.
so most of this is what i hear and keep in my heart.

(do click on the pics to enlarge!!)

this one is originally by seal.
but i dig alanis morissette's version.

this is not a lyric driven page.
i was doing markdowns at work.
went to scan this hat,
and noticed the price tag was in japanese yen!!
random. (i used to live in japan.)
so i tore the tage off the hat
and brought it home to stick in my book.

john mayer lyrics.
homelife.
"i want to live in the center of a circle."

today is an excerpt from
"unwritten" by natasha bedingfield.
i freaking love her.
"[we've been] conditioned to not make mistakes."

okay, i think i've exposed enough of my
brain to you for today.
now i must go finish laundry- my brother in law
and his fiance are driving in today and i want to
be able to hang out with out worrying about chores!!

xoxo

i thought i commented...but apparently i didn't. my memory is shit lately.

so anyway, i adore song lyrics because it seems like they can say it better than i can (sometimes). i constantly have song lyrics running thru my head. for different reasons.

so i love that you are using them as art. very cool!

can't wait to see more!
